Join us for a special screening of Threads of Resilience, a documentary that explores the complex realities of textile waste colonialism and the creative communities finding new ways forward.
The Director, Frida T.N.Siekpe Lidbom, is a multidisciplinary creative, MA graduate in sustainable fashion and director of The Threads of Resilience documentary.
Through stories of designers, makers, and changemakers from Accra in Ghana, the film examines how discarded clothing from the Global North impacts economies, land, and culture in the Global South - and how creativity can serve as a form of resistance and repair.
Following the screening, we’ll host a Q&A discussion delving into the intersections of sustainability, identity, and cultural responsibility in fashion today.
