Join PIKIN Universe for an immersive Textile Upcycling Workshop, where discarded fabrics are transformed into expressive artworks on A3 canvas.
Guided by the theme “Taking Up Space - Reclaiming Cloth, Culture, and Creativity,” participants will explore how materials, stories, and heritage can be reimagined through art. Inspired by Adinkra symbols - a Ghanaian visual language of values and proverbs - you’ll create a piece that connects personal meaning with collective expression.
Using upcycled textiles, glue, thread, and paint, guests will craft individual artworks while contributing to a collective art installation made from fabric cutouts - a symbol of shared presence, resilience, and creative resistance.
No prior experience is needed - just bring curiosity, openness, and a willingness to create.
